I've had these shoes before and for a while I had to wear
Velcro strap shoes. These shoes now fit perfect and are
comfortable and feel true to size. I do wish one could find
Velcro closures on larger sized shoes that don't look like
Herman Munster shoes though. This shoe is very comfortable
and I didn't need to add gel insoles in them at all.

I bought this shoe for exercising. It has great support and
a roomy toe box without being too wide. I have a 4A foot but
can wear this 2A shoe with heavy socks which usually doesn't
work for me. Please keep this shoe as it is a gem.

I've tried the SL1, they were ok, but for the price they
should have been better. These are built on the SL2 last.
They have SO much more room in the toes.

The fact that I marked this sneaker as feeling narrow may
not be true for most shoppers. I have a bunion, and the
sneaker is rubbing somewhat (I have other New Balance
sneakers in the same size that don't rub). While they do
have an "old lady, orthopedic" appearance, for me they were
a good solution for when sneakers generally are
inappropriate, but I still wanted to be able to walk without

I have worn their walking shoes for years, and still think
they are the best. I have problems with my feet, including
heel spurs and arthritis, and New Balance is the best shoe
for my "problem" feet.
