Look nice, so far holding up fine, but I'm just not happy
with the comfort. The last 2-3 years I have bought a couple
different kinds of NB shoes and they just aren't as
comfortable as they use to be.

I bought this shoe for casual wear and for extended walking.
Unfortunately, there is too much cushioning in the heel
area. So, rather than moving forward, the walker sinks back
some as the heel compresses the material below. A good
walking shoe needs rather firm support, and this shoe
doesn't provide that.

I wear size 12.5 4E and have owned several pairs of New
Balance shoes in the past including the older 621 and 622
styles and have been very satisfied with them. I am very
disappointed in the design of the shoe. It has overlapping
layers of leather which protrude into the foot area on both
sides at the ball of the foot. These raised areas rub on
your foot and could cause blisters after a long day in them.
This is not the quality I have come to enjoy and expect from

This shoe feels a little large, maybe a 1/4 size larger but
it is not a big problem. I wanted a 608 but it wasn't
available so I ordered the 623 because it was built on the
same last. Other than that, they were fine.
Shirley Dailey from Gallipolis,
My husband is a diabetic and has worn New Balance for years,
now needed an extra wide width and they could not be found
in this small town. The shoes are the best and now I have a
happy husband whose feet are feeling much better. He loves
the look and the fit!

Bought this style because 608v no longer available in 4E in
my size. Alternate days I am wearing this shoe, all day
long. Walk 26 miles daily at work. I need WIDE shoe. This
model does not feel as wide as 608v. It has more padding in
behind heel, forcing your foot forward in shoe. Appears to
be well constructed and durable. An average shoe for average
